Colour
Specifications
Full
colour artwork must be generated using a CMYK colour model - No
RGB!!!!!
If
the artwork requires the use of just one, two or three specific
colours then the designer must use either Pantone Solid Coated or Pantone
Solid Uncoated colours. These are the references that the printers recognise
in order to use the correct ink. These colours exist within the
colour libraries of Photoshop, Quark Express, Illustrator and Freehand.
Often,
artwork is supplied using one, two or three colours. However, the
colours used are 'process' colours. These are generated by a mixture
of Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black (CMYK). If not changed this means
that the artwork will print in four colours and so incur extra costs
(i.e. extra films and printing plates). It may be possible for us
to make the required changes, however, there will be a charge made
for DTP time.
